AL2240D is a high sensitivity 4-channel 28Gb/s trans-impedance amplifier (TIA) array with channel space of 750μm. Each amplifier has 9k of small-signal differential trans-impedance gain. The quad TIA consumes a total of 0.5W using a 3.3V power supply. AL2240D offers very high dynamic range due to its high input overload of 5mApp. Each TIA provides a photodiode bias voltage and an accurate received-signal-strength-indicator (RSSI) to monitor the average photodiode current. This TIA also provides a bandwidth/peaking adjustment function to allow the user to optimize optical receiver frequency response.
